BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A woman who was a person of interest after crossing a stolen vehicle into Mexico, has been arrested.
Earlier this week the Cameron County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help in identifying a woman involved in a stolen vehicle investigation that occurred on June 29.
According to a previous ValleyCentral article, the woman was seen crossing the stolen car into Matamoros that same day.
On Saturday, deputies received an anonymous report of a woman matching the description being seen at a plasma center. Deputies arrived at the center and spoke with Nancy Guevara, who admitted she took the car to Matamoros.
Guevara is charged with theft, a third-degree felony, the release stated. She is being held on a $40,000 bond.
