MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A teenage girl was struck by a car this morning in McAllen, according to police.
The incident occurred at around 6:19 a.m. Thursday.
According to police, the incident happened on W. Pecan Boulevard and Bentsen Road. Authorities say the teenager sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
Her family was notified of the accident.
The motorist remained at the scene and reported the accident.
McAllen police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
