Starr County Industrial Foundation to celebrate its 50th Anniversary

Next Thursday we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the of the creation of the Starr County Industrial Foundation.

It was established in 1974 by a group of visionary individuals that understood the power of collaboration to create meaningful change and transform lives.

Since its inception, the SCIF has proudly been a leader in crafting visionary and long-term strategic growth that has reshaped Starr County and profoundly enriched the lives of our residents. 

Over the past five decades the SCIF has played a pivotal role in the recruitment and expansion of countless commercial and retail developments, has served as a vital resource for local entrepreneurs and small businesses, has enabled the offering of workforce and skills development, has ushered transformative higher education and medical institutions and has fortified the economic resilience of our community.

The longevity of the organization is a reflection of the invaluable worth it brings to our community and the principled standards of our membership. For 50 years we have actively contributed to spurring opportunity and fostering economic development in the region.
