Willacy Co. deputies looking for 2 men after chase

SEBASTIAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Willacy County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies are searching for two men who took off following a vehicle pursuit.

According to a news release from the Willacy County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a blue 2013 BMW passenger car following a welfare concern.

Authorities say the vehicle refused to stop, and a car pursuit followed. The pursuit ended at East of Combes, Texas, on FM 508 near Godwin Road.

Two men ran off, and authorities searched the area. Deputies describe the suspects as one man wearing a black and white jacket with blue jeans. The other man was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

The Texas Department of Public Safety, Cameron County Sheriff's Office, and Port Mansfield Police Department were called to help search for the men.
