Woman dead in Harlingen rollover crash

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Police Department provides details about Friday night's fatal car crash.

At 9:20 p.m., authorities responded to a crash at 2230 Multi-National. At the scene, authorities found a pickup truck in a canal, according to a news release from Harlingen PD.

A preliminary investigation determined that the pickup truck flipped upside down after losing control and driving off the northbound lane of the 2600 block of North Expressway 77.

Authorities found a woman inside the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the release stated.

Authorities will not release the name of the victim until the next of kin has been notified.
