BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — SpaceX is aiming to launch at least six more Starships this year, according to Elon Musk.
"Three launches in less than a year would be unprecedented for a new, super heavy lift rocket," Senior Space Editor Eric Berger at Ars Technica said on X. Musk responded to the post, "Hopefully, at least 6 more flights this year."
This post comes within days of SpaceX's planned third launch of Starship out of Boca Chica Beach, which has a tentative launch date scheduled for Thursday morning. Musk added that the launch will be pending the weather at the time.
ValleyCentral reached out to the Federal Aviation Administration in February, who said the Programmatic Environmental Assessment allows up to five SpaceX Starship Super Heavy orbital launches per year from Boca Chica.
Starship's third launch will follow shortly after the FAA concluded an investigation into the second launch, which self-destructed over the Gulf of Mexico.
ValleyCentral will provide updates on the third test flight of Starship as the launch windows nears, as well as a livestream of the launch.
