South Texas Health System discusses respiratory illnesses, causes and treatments

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — According to the World Health Organization chronic respiratory diseases are the third leading cause of death globally accounting for four million deaths in 2019 alone.

South Texas Health System will broadcast its latest 30-minute episode of South Texas Health Living devoted to respiratory diseases.

Watch on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. on KGBT 4.1. The program will feature an interview with Dr. Alfredo Arauco Brown. He will highlight the common causes, risk factors, and early warning signs of common respiratory diseases and how doctors diagnose and treat them.
