San Benito Historical Society to unveil Historical Marker for Bobby Joe Morrow

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The San Benito Historical Society is unveiling a Texas Historical Commission Historical Marker of Bobby Joe Morrow.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. at Bobby Morrow Stadium, 2025 La Palma Street.

Morrow is a 1954 San Benito High School Graduate, and a three-time Olympic Gold Medal winner, the 1956 Melbourne, Australia Olympiad.

The ceremony is being held at the entrance of the stadium bleachers.
