PD: 2 Alamo men arrested for aggravated robbery

ALAMO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two Alamo men were arrested for their involvement in an aggravated robbery in Alamo, police say.

Angelo Jehovon Vargas, 19, and Joseph Juvel Fernandez, 23, were charged with aggravated robbery, a release from the Alamo Police Department stated.

Authorities received a report of an aggravated robbery committed on Saturday, July 13.

According to the release, investigators executed two search and arrest warrants on Vargas and Fernandez for their involvement on the robbery.

At 11 a.m. Wednesday, Vargas was arrested at the 1300 block of South Alamo Road. At 11 p.m. the same day, Alamo PD investigators arrested Fernandez in Edinburg after receiving a lead.

Both suspects were booked at the Alamo Police Department Jail where they are pending arraignments.
