McAllen announces 6th Street, La Vista Avenue road closure roadway improvements

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of McAllen announced the start of the 6 Street and La Vista Avenue roadway improvement project.

The city's news release said concrete pavement construction will cause a closure at 6th St. from La Vista Ave. to Walnut Ave.

The roadway will be closed to all traffic on 6 St. from La Vista Ave. to Walnut Ave. and will begin on Monday, July 8. It is expected to be completed by Friday, July 12.

Drivers should look for alternate routes during the closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. 

Delays and congestion should be expected.
