La Plaza Mall to host Back-to-School Bash

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — La Plaza Mall is gearing up for its Back-to-School Bash event in celebration of the upcoming school year.

The event will be taking place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the La Plaza Mall Grand Court.

Isabel Rodriguez-Saenz, Director of Marketing and Business Development with La Plaza Mall told ValleyCentral, this year they will be giving out 400 backpacks filled with school supplies for the first 400 children attending the event.

"Vendors will also be in attendance giving out school supplies, goodies and giveaways," Rodriguez-Saenz added.

In addition to the Back-to-School Bash, La Plaza Mall will be having Tax-Free weekend from Aug. 9 to Aug. 10, where shoppers can find back-to-school savings.
