RGV Super Anime Fest happening this weekend

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Pop culture fans and anime lovers are invited to attend RGV Super Anime Fest this weekend in Harlingen.

The two-day event, hosted by Reborn Anime, features voice actors, panels, games, cosplay contests and vendors.

Fans will have a chance to meet voice actors from popular games and shows including Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Zatch Bell, Monster High and Jimmy Neutron.

"It's a show created by fans, for the fans," said Benny Dominguez, coordinator of RGV Super Anime Fest. "At the end of the day, our main goal is to make sure you guys have a good time."

RGV Super Anime Fest will take place at the Harlingen Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and again on Sunday, September 22.
