Harlingen PD responds to incident on expressway, traffic delayed

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Harlingen police are responding to an incident involving an unhitched trailer on the westbound lanes on Expressway 83.

Police say a vehicle was hauling a trailer that became unhinged near the Atlas Palmas exit.

The westbound lanes of the expressway are closed off while police work to clear the scene.

Traffic in the area is delayed. Motorists in the area are advised to seek an alternate route and drive with caution.

Police expect the scene to be cleared soon.
