Funeral arrangements scheduled for Nikki Rowe student

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The McAllen Independent School District announced funeral arrangements for Adan De La Cruz, a Nikki Rowe student who died days after falling off a roof at a party.

Visitations will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Rivera Funeral Home.

At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, 100 balloons will be released by the Rivera Fountain in De La Cruz's honor.

A procession will begin at noon to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for a mass.

From 2 to 11 p.m. a celebration of life will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Hall.

Attached to the announcement, the district extended its condolences to the De La Cruz family, students, staff and community.
