EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Tonight the city of Edinburg is celebrating its National Night Out.
National Night Out is an opportunity for the public to get to know the Edinburg Police Department and City employees.
At the event, city employees will be handing out free backpacks for school aged children who are going back to school.
Edinburg has a jam packed night of events with a car show, food, live music, entertainment and more.
The city provided an attractions map to help attendees navigate through the park.
The groups Tropical Panama, FER and Caracter Norteno will perform at the event.
Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Promenade Park Amphitheater, located at 201 W. McIntyre Street.
This event is free to the public.
The City of Edinburg also provided a parking map to help locals find parking and easily get in and out of the event.
