MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Community, friends and loved ones gathered at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery Monday morning to honor Veterans who have passed away.
"Showing up and being here is just a great honor," said Daniel Garza, Marine Corps League.
Garza and others in attendance helped place U.S. flags on each grave at the cemetery.
"To serve and be with these guys, honoring those that served before us is a blessing," Garza continued.
The RGV State Veterans Cemetery contains 75 total acres and has laid over 4,000 Veterans to rest.
