Chick-fil-A assisting fundraiser for Nikki Rowe family after son's death

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A McAllen Chick-fil-A location announced it will be assisting in the fundraiser for Adan De La Cruz's family after he tragically died Wednesday following an accident at a pool party.

The Facebook account for the Chick-fil-A at 2709 W. Nolana Avenue shared that a portion of sales will go to the De La Cruz family when placing a mobile order and tapping "Yes, I'd like to support."

"They are halfway to their fundraising goal and we'd love to help," the restaurant stated.

Additionally, the Chick-fil-A location stated that Nikki Rowe High School is a close community partner, and that several students and alumni are employed at the restaurant.

The community care event will remain open until 11 p.m. Saturday.
