CCSO: Woman tracks boyfriend through app, breaks into wrong home

LOS FRESNOS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A woman was arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a home where she believed her boyfriend was, authorities say.

Brenda Nathalie Ramirez, 21, was charged with criminal trespass, according to a release from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, authorities responded to a call regarding an unwanted person at a residence in Los Fresnos.

At the scene, the 32-year-old victim reported that a woman, later identified as Ramirez, was banging on hs front door.

According to the release, after he opened the door, Ramirez said she was looking for her boyfriends and attempted to force herself into the residence.

Ramirez told deputies she was tracking her boyfriend's phone through a location-tracking app, and later realized she was at the wrong residence.

Ramirez was booked into Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center, where she is pending arraignment.
