Brownsville police search for suspect in Vape City robbery, potentially armed

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who allegedly stole $1,000 worth of nicotine vapes.

The incident occurred on July 1 at Vape City, located at the 2800 block of Boca Chica Boulevard, according to a social media post by the Brownsville Police Department.

Police say a man entered Vape City and took off with $1,000 worth of nicotine vapes. The employee chased the man outside and took a picture of the suspect's vehicle.

The man was seen getting into the backseat of a Tahoe, Brownsville police say.

The vehicle is described as an older model black Chevy Tahoe. According to police, when the employee approached the vehicle, the driver took out a handgun.
