Bicyclist struck, killed in McAllen car accident

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A bicyclist was killed Wednesday night after he was struck by a vehicle in McAllen.

Police responded to the accident scene on 900 block of West Highway 83 shortly before midnight.

McAllen resident Daniel Codina, 68, was identified as the bicyclist who died.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with police.

The accident is under investigation.
