RAYMONDVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Willacy County deputies arrested a man and woman who they say had multiple warrants.
At 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Mario Martinez and Arianna Lynn Guerra were arrested at the 1200 block of North 2nd Street, according to a release from the Willacy County Sheriff's Office.
At the scene, deputies, along with multiple agencies, discovered that Martinez was hiding in a building near a residence.
Deputies had a warrant out for Martinez on a robbery charge. He was also a person of interest for a murder being investigated by the Raymondville Police Department, the release stated.
Martinez was transported to the Raymondville Police Department and Guerra was booked into the Willacy County Sheriff's Office.
Martinez was charged with the following:
- Murder (Raymondville Police Department)
- Warrant for robbery (Judge Rodolfo Cantu)
- Warrant for evading arrest/detention (Willacy County Court)
- Out-of-State Warrants: New Mexico
- two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- four counts of battery against a household member
- unlawful taking a vehicle
Guerra was charged with a warrant for assault of a public servant, a warrant to hinder apprehension or prosecution of a known felon and possession of a controlled substance, according to the sheriff's office.
