Ramen Run 5k to benefit McAllen students

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Yasuke restaurant and Short Out Racing are organizing a 5k event to raise funds for Resaca Middle School.

The organization provides Christmas gifts to students from low-income families. The event called the Ramen Run 5k, will take place on October 5 at Fireman's Park in McAllen.

Participants can sign up by Sept. 19 to receive a t-shirt, but registration remains open. The race is divided into age groups and is family-friendly.

The race includes a package of ramen, Asian snacks, and gummy candy. Participants are encouraged to support local businesses like Yasuke Japanese Sushi before or after the race.
