SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Cameron County deputies arrested a man who was wanted out of Brazoria County.

On Thursday, deputies responded to a probation officer regarding a wanted man.

According to a news release from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office, the probation officer reported that 23-year-old Mario Antonio Avila had an outstanding warrant out of Brazoria County for indecency with a child.

Deputies confirmed the warrant and took Avila into custody.

Avila was booked into the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center. He is pending an extradition to Brazoria County.
