UTRGV lecturer advances to Jeopardy's Champions Wildcard Tournament

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley history lecturer William Yancy is heading to Jeopardy's Champions Wildcard Tournament, which starts on Jan. 13.

Yancy finished today's game with $15,200 and a combined total of $35,200.

The winner of the Champions Wildcard Tournament earns a spot in the Tournament of Champions.

The Champions Wildcard Tournament is a two-week competition that showcases 18 non-winners from 2024 with two contestants advancing to the championship.
