Urgent care services now offered at VA McAllen location

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Veteran Affairs Clinic in McAllen is now offering urgent care services.

"We have a great demand for our Veterans. Many of our veterans go to the emergency rooms for minor illnesses or minor symptoms that we can take care of," said Sandra Acevedo, Nurse Manager for Urgent Care.

The urgent care clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. walk-ins are welcome.

"As we continue with our efforts to expand availability of health care services for the Veterans we serve, we encourage all Veterans enrolled for VA healthcare in the McAllen area to visit the VA McAllen Outpatient Clinic for their Urgent Health Care needs," said Public Affairs Officer Hugo Martinez.

The McAllen clinic is located on 901 East Hackberry Ave.
