ALAMO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Alamo is starting improvements on its water plant to provide the highest quality of water to residents.
The project includes applying a protective coating system to two existing clarifiers which is a crucial step in extending the life and efficiency of the plant's infrastructure.
This multi-phase initiative also includes the construction of new water filters for the existing 5.0
million-gallon-per-day plant.
"We anticipate that we will get 10-12 years of additional life by doing this project," Garcia Infrastructure Consultants Javier Garcia.
The City plans to install a state-of-the-art Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system and incorporate the latest technology to optimize operations and maintain superior water quality.
