Texas Rangers investigate Monday police shooting in Roma

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Thursday night that the Texas Rangers are investigating a Monday police shooting in Roma.

A spokesperson for DPS said the Rangers were notified at approximately 8:07 p.m. that day of the shooting.

“(The) Texas Rangers are investigating an officer involved shooting involving (the) Roma Police Department,” the spokesperson said in a text.

DPS did not immediately disclose any other information about the police shooting.
