St. Stephens Food Pantry to host food drive Saturday

PORT ISABEL, Texas (ValleyCentral) — St. Stephens Food Pantry is hosting its fifth annual food drive this weekend.

Dawn Lewis, a member at St. Stephens Food Pantry, came to the NBC23 studio to announce the event to the public.

St. Stephens has been helping the Port Isabel, South Padre Island and Laguna Vista community for five years. They offer canned goods, shelf staples, frozen foods, and more.

Last year they fed about 400 families.

This Saturday Sept. 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. St. Stephens will be hosting a food drive at the Rec Hall.

Guests can get BBQ, beverages, meals to-go, crafts, sweet treats and so much more.

The event will also feature musical guests Nathan Hubble and the Whites of Texas.
