EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The South Texas Cattlemen's Roundup season kicked off at the Driscoll Children's Hospital.
The event featured auctions of donated goods from local 4-H clubs, Future Farmers of America and more.
Matt Wolthoff, President of Driscoll Children's Hospital Rio Grande Valley, told ValleyCentral that all the auctions' proceeds return to the kids.
"Claire Driscoll, our founder, her legacy carries on through these events in South Texas in the farming and ranching community," Wolthoff said.
During the event, kids have a chance to help other children in their community who are in need. Bidders also get to win homemade baked goods, farming items and more.
