Several roads to be closed near interchange project

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Drivers are advised of the upcoming nightly closures due to the I-2/I-69C Interchange project.

Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers through the alternate routes.

Friday, July 2611 p.m. to 7 a.m.The I-2 westbound main lanes between the Cage Boulevard exit ramp, in Pharr, and Jackson Avenue will be closed. Entrance and exit ramps will not be accessible during the closure.
Saturday, July 27 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.The I-2 westbound main lanes between the Cage Boulevard exit ramp, in Pharr, and Jackson Avenue will be closed. Entrance and exit ramps will not be accessible during the closure.
Monday, July 22 through Sunday, July 288 p.m. to 6 a.m.The I-69C southbound frontage between SH495 and I-2 will be closed.
Friday, July 2611 p.m. to 7 a.m.The ‘Edinburg to McAllen’ direct connector will be closed.
Saturday, July 279 p.m. to 8 a.m.The ‘Edinburg to McAllen’ direct connector will be closed.
Sunday, July 289 p.m. to 6 a.m.The ‘Edinburg to McAllen’ direct connector will be closed.
Monday July 22 through Sunday, July 288 p.m. to 6 a.m.The following underpasses will be closed:
▪ Cage Boulevard underpass
▪ U.S. Business 83 underpass
▪ Jackson Road underpass
Sunday, June 239 p.m. to 6 a.m.The I-2 eastbound main lanes between the Sugar Road exit and Vic’s Drive will be closed.  Eastbound traffic will be rerouted onto the frontage road at the Sugar Road exit ramp. The ‘McAllen to Edinburg’ direct connector and Cage Boulevard underpass will be closed to help with the flow of traffic.

All closures are weather permitted. Motorists are asked to stay alert, slow down in roadwork areas, and be aware of lane closures and alternate routes.
