HCSO investigate possible drowning at Weslaco canal

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly fell into a canal in Weslaco, deputies say.

At 1:20 p.m. Hidalgo County deputies responded to a welfare concern south of Mile 2 W. Road on Mile 10 N. Road.

According to witnesses, a man fell into a canal.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's deputies and the fire department are at the scene searching for the man but he has not been located.
