San Benito CISD modifies dress code due to cold weather

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The San Benito Consolidated Independent School District is modifying its dress code for students during this cold snap.

In an effort to keep student's comfortable and ready to learn by the time they get to the classroom, SBCISD is allowing a modified dress code Thursday and Friday.

The following clothing items are permitted:

• jeans
• sweatpants
• sweaters
• sweatshirts
• jackets
• coats
• scarves
• gloves
• earmuffs
• knit caps 

The following clothing items are not permitted:

• Croc-style footwear
• sandals
• pajamas
• clothing with offensive words and symbols, tobacco products, and alcohol graphics will continue to be prohibited
