Salvation Army accepting fan donations to help residents beat the heat

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Valley is no stranger to extreme heat. That is why CBS4 and NBC23 are teaming up with the Salvation Army of McAllen for a fan drive.

We need your help! Viewers can do their part by donating fans at the Salvation Srmy-McAlen Administration Office, located at 1600 North 23rd Street.

Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until July 16.

The fans will be collected and distributed to people in need on Friday, July 19.
