Police respond to bomb threat at Brownsville bus station, one arrested

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — One person was arrested Wednesday afternoon after they allegedly made a bomb threat at the Brownsville bus station.

Police responded to the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m. after a person claimed to have a bomb in their bag.

Funeral services begin for Brownsville ISD School Board President Erasmo Castro

The bus station, located on the 700 block of International Blvd., was evacuated for officers to thoroughly search the area.

No explosives were found and no injuries were reported, police say.

The Brownsville Bus Station is set to resume normal hours of operation.
