Point Isabel ISD addresses 'safety concern' at high school

PORT ISABEL, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Point Isabel Independent School District released a statement regarding a "safety concern" at the high school.

Point Isabel ISD stated it is currently addressing a safety concern at Port Isabel Early College High School and implementing additional safety protocols.

The district stated it is collaborating with local law enforcement in an effort to prioritize the safety of its students and staff.

"We urge parents to remain vigilant regarding items their children bring to school," the statement reads. "It's essential to have conversations with your child about the seriousness of inappropriate remarks."
