BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Rio Grande Valley Philanthropic Foundation recently helped set up a Designated Fund for a group of alumni from Hanna High School in Brownsville, together with another former student who sits on the board of directors of the Wallace Fund (New York City Trust).

This former student donated the bulk of a $40,000 grant to the school.

Here, below, is a in-depth conversation about the foundation, the grant and the value of a good education at Hanna High School.

It features the analysis of RGV Philanthropic Foundation Executive Director Diane Milliken Garza, philanthropist and former Hanna High School student Joe Medrano, and Blanca Lambarri, principal of Hanna High School.
