Pharr Fire Department contain office fire at strip mall

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A commercial strip mall in Pharr was on fire earlier today, according to Pharr officials.

Yuri Gonzalez, spokesperson for the City of Pharr said the call about the fire came in at 10:08 a.m. in reference to a building located at 6707 S. Jackson.

Gonzalez said it was a single building fire that was contained to that office business. She said the roof of the building did sustain damanages.

No injuries were reported and no exposures were involved in the incident.

Local fire teams extinguished the flames and kept them contained to the room of origin.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
