PD: La Feria middle school on lockdown following bomb threat

LA FERIA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — William B Green Junior High School is on lockdown following a bomb threat made on the campus, authorities said.

According to Chief Cesar Diaz with the La Feria Police Department, the threat was made by phone.

All of the students at at the middle school have been moved to the high school. The middle school remains on lockdown and the high school is on a soft lockdown while authorities investigate the threat.

A release from La Feria ISD stated:

La Feria ISD is currently addressing a safety concern at WB Green Jr. High.  In abundance of caution, students have been relocated to La Feria ECHS.  Safety remains our priority at all times.  Collaboration with local law enforcement agencies is underway to prioritize the safety of both our students and staff.  Please monitor social media and school website for updates.
