Palmview PD: Driver crashes into building, runs away from scene

PALMVIEW, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A driver ran away from a scene after crashing a truck into a local business, authorities say.

At 3 a.m. authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash at Joe Ruiz Income Tax, located at the 1100 block of E Palma Vista Drive.

According to Palmview City officials, the driver of a red Dodge Ram TRX ran from the scene. Police have not located the suspect.

City officials say, authorities checked local hospitals in Mission to find the suspect but no one had been checked in for injuries related to a car crash.

The owners of the business were called to the scene and are pressing charges on the driver.
