SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The mother of a young girl who went missing from South Padre Island over the summer was arraigned Monday afternoon after being on the run across the globe.
Lillian Maria Crouch is charged with abducting her daughter Rilee during an alleged custody battle.
She is charged with interference with child custody and contempt of court. Her bond was set at $110,000.
The young girl's father, Dakota Crouch, reported his daughter missing on July 2.
As previously reported on ValleyCentral, Dakota said he last saw Rilee when he returned her back home to her mother.
When Dakota went to pick Rilee again, both his daughter and the child’s mother were gone.
The five-month search for Rilee came to a close Sunday after the 4-year-old and her mother were tracked down in Panama.
During the arraignment it was revealed Crouch escaped to multiple countries with Rilee including Mexico, Guatemala, Turkey, and Panama.
Under the conditions of her bond, Crouch’s passport will be revoked, and she will not be allowed to leave Cameron County.
She will remain under house arrest and will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device.
Rilee is reported to be safe and on her way back to the Rio Grande Valley.
