CITIZEN ALERT: Proposed Restrictions on Smoke Shops and Nightclub Security

• The Commission will consider an ordinance to establish a 1,000-foot minimum distance requirement for smoke shops and tobacco stores from schools, daycare centers, parks, churches, and other smoke shops.
• A new ordinance is proposed to mandate licensed security officers for bars, nightclubs, and cocktail lounges based on the venue's maximum occupancy.

Public Hearings: Site Plan Approvals

• Construction of a new McDonald’s restaurant located on the south side of W. Griffin Parkway, approximately 1,000 feet east of Holland Avenue.
• Construction of GR&E Mind Evolution All Purpose Center, a therapy clinic located at 1015 Business Park Drive.
• Construction of Trinity Warehouse, a storage facility located at 606 Trinity Street.

Public Hearings: Rezoning Requests

• A request to rezone Lot 1 of the Laguna Oaks Subdivision (Mile One South and S. Inspiration Roads) from Single-Family Residential (R-1) to Neighborhood Commercial (C-2).
• A request to rezone 801 Mountain Road from Duplex-Fourplex Residential (R-2) to Multi-family Residential (R-3).
