Mission Fire Department rescues kitten from drainage ditch

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Palmhurst Police Department and Mission Fire Department rescued a kitten trapped in a drainage ditch on Tuesday.

A man heard the kitten meowing from the ditch and called Palmhurst police for assistance.

The Mission Fire Department was then called and assisted in rescuing the kitten with a ladder.

The kitten was unharmed and one of the officers gifted its new family all the necessary supplies to thrive.
