Mission FD: Victim dies two days after house fire

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The victim of a Mission house fire who suffered major injuries died Sunday, the Mission Fire Department announced.

The house fire occurred at 1:14 p.m. on Friday at the 200 block of Guadalupe Street.

Authorities say a concerned neighbor reported that the single-family home was on fire.

At the scene, firefighters found one person inside the home who was reported to have second-degree burns on one arm and both legs.

Officials say the unnamed person was also found with no pulse and transported to the McAllen Medical Center where he was revived and in critical condition.

The cause of death and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
