McAllen PD: Three arrested for truck thefts, one arrested in Harlingen

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — McAllen Police say they have arrested three individuals in connection to three vehicles stolen on Jan. 2 and 6.

According to the department's news release a 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 model pickup was reported stolen from a business parking area on the 600 block of E. Expressway 83. On the same day a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was also reported stolen from a business parking area on the 2700 block of S. 10th St.

On Jan. 6, a 2025 GMC Denali 2500 model pickup was reported stolen from a parking area of a business on the 800 block of Convention Center Blvd.

That same day, police, with help from other law enforcement, were able to locate the GMC Denali truck in Harlingen.

They arrested Jose Enrique Torres, 40; Jessica Guerra, 29, and Luis Enrique Acuna, 19, for the reported theft of the GMC Denali 2500 pickup, in addition to the thefts of the GMC Sierra AT4 and Chevrolet Silverado pickups.

Jose Enrique Torres from Donna was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony, $20,000 for each count totaling $60,000.

Jessica Guerra from Brownsville was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony, $15,000 for each count totaling $45,000.

Luis Enrique Acuna, also from Brownsville, was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony, $25,000 for each count, totaling $75,000.

McAllen Police continue investigating this case and say other charges and arrests may follow.
