LA FERIA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was arrested after authorities found a large amount of cocaine, stolen handguns and a large sum of money at his residence while executing a search warrant, deputies say.

Manuel "Manny" Martinez, 60, was charged with manufacture/delivery of a substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, according to a release from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

On Friday, April 19, the Cameron County Investigations Unit alongside the Cameron County District's Attorney's Office Investigations Unit and Homeland Security executed a search warrant at a residence.

"The search warrant stemmed from an investigation of a tip alleging illegal narcotics sales from a residence in La Feria," Cameron County deputies stated in the release.

During the search, Martinez was found on the property in possession of a large amount of cocaine and "crack" cocaine packages in different-sized bags, the release stated.

Authorities say the different-sized bags indicate narcotics distribution.

Investigators also found more cocaine, marijuana, two loaded handguns, THC vape cartridges and a large sum of U.S. currency, that is suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.

Additionally, authorities say the two handguns found inside the home were confirmed to be stolen.

Martinez was arrested and booked at the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center.
