Lopez HS employee charged with online solicitation of a minor

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Lopez High School employee was arrested for soliciting a minor online, the Cameron County District Attorney's Office announced.

Bryan David Hernandez Aguirre, 33, is charged with online solicitation of a minor, a third degree felony.

On Thursday, March 13, Cameron County District Attorney's Office investigators, alongside the Brownsville Federal Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigation, arrested Hernandez Aguirre.

During the investigation, authorities revealed that Hernandez Aguirre used multiple social media platforms to solicit a minor, a release from the Cameron County DA's Office stated.

Hernandez Aguirre was an employee at Brownsville Independent School District's Lopez High School at the time of the arrest.

Hernandez Aguirre was arraigned Friday afternoon at the Carrizalez Detention Center. He was issued a bond of $100,000.
