RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — As our meteorologists continue to keep an eye of the tropics and Hurricane Beryl, cities across the Rio Grande Valley are establishing sandbag distribution sites.
Residents who are interested in sandbags are asked to visit the following distribution sites.
Cameron County
Brownsville
- Cameron County will hand out sandbags from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 until supplies last. Residents may pick up six sandbags per household.
- Commissioner Precinct 1 Warehouse, located at 2050 S. Browne Avenue
- Commissioner Precinct 2 Warehouse, located at 7092 Old Alice Road
La Feria
- Cameron County will hand out sandbags from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 until supplies last. Residents may pick up six sandbags per household.
- Commissioner Precinct 4 Warehouse, located at 16623 White Ranch Road
San Benito
- Cameron County will hand out sandbags from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 until supplies last. Residents may pick up six sandbags per household.
- Commissioner Precinct 3 Warehouse, located at 26945 FM 510
Hidalgo County
Weslaco
- The City of Weslaco is providing a sandbag distribution for residents. The distribution will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until supplies last at the Weslaco City Hall, located at 255 S. Kansas Avenue. Residents must bring proof of residency and their own shovels. There is a limit of six sandbags per household.
