LIST: Road closures for I-2/I-69C Interchange Project

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentra) — Drivers are advised of the upcoming nightly closures due to the I-2/I-69C Interchange Project.

Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers through the alternate routes.

The closures will begin on Monday and Tuesday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Closure locations are as follows:

• I-2 westbound main lanes between Raul Longoria Road exit ramp in San Juan and Cage Boulevard in Pharr. The Harlingen to Edinburg direct connector will be closed.
• I-2 westbound main lanes between Jackson Avenue and McColl Road in McAllen.
• I-2 eastbound main lane between the Sugar Road exit ramp in Pharr and Raul Longoria Road in San Juan. The Edinburg to Harlingen and McAllen to Edinburg direct connectors will be closed.
• I-2 eastbound frontage road between 2nd Street and McColl Road in McAllen.

The following underpasses will be closed to help with the flow of traffic:

• McColl Road underpass at I-2
• Jackson Avenue underpass at I-2
• Cage Boulevard underpass at I-2
• Veterans Boulevard underpass at I-2

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, no road closures are planned between Thursday at 12 p.m. and Dec. 2 and 6 a.m.

All closures are weather permitted. Motorists are asked to stay alert, slow down in roadwork areas, and be aware of lane closures and alternate routes.
