Learning Martial Arts with Checkmat BTX

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Jose Gutierrez is a second-degree black belt in jiu-jitsu and the owner of Checkmat BTX.

Gutierrez describes Checkmat BTX as the community's outlet for anti-bullying, high-level grappling, self-defense, and more.

It is open to children and as Gutierrez says it is a good confidence builder.

Checkmat BTX is located at 1393 E. Alton Gloor Blvd Suite 5. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
