Thank you. I’ll try to make this as quickly as possible. It’s great to be here today. It’s a nice day and I am truly honored to be able to help celebrate this day here in Roma, here in Fronton.

Today we gather to celebrate a truly momentous occasion marking the dawn of a new era for Roma and for Fronton. Thank you to those who have joined us here for the grand opening of the Las Americas Roma Logistics & Industrial Park and the US Customs and Border Patrol’s secondary examination station.

This day signifies a significant milestone in our journey towards economic empowerment, towards job creation and towards sustainable progress. The Las Americas Roma Logistics & Industrial Park represents an extraordinary initiative that will not only bring economic vitality to Starr County, but also position us as an international hub of innovation and of commerce.

Today we’re not merely cutting a ribbon. We are opening doors to a future of commercial and economic growth. With the $2.5 million investment we’ve secured for the renovation of FM 650, the road leading to the Las Americas industrial park, this improvement will significantly increase the weight limit for trucks, facilitating truck traffic and ensuring that we can utilize this resource to its greatest potential.

This crucial renovation will enhance the movement of goods and contribute to the overall success of the industrial park, furthering our economic aspirations.

I want to commend Mayor Escobar and the city council and the EDC for their visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to our community’s well-being. Their foresight and their determination have brought us to this moment where we stand on the cusp of transforming challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality.

These new sites are not just structures of concrete and steel. They represent the foundation of our collective aspirations. They symbolize the potential for job creation that will uplift families. The promise of economic resilience that will fortify our community and the embodiment of progress that will be felt for generations to come.

As we open these facilities today, let us also open our minds to the boundless opportunities of the future. Let us remember that this endeavor is a testament to our unity, to our resilience, and to our shared vision for a better tomorrow.

Congratulations to all those who played a part in making this grand opening possible. Our journey is just beginning, and I’m filled with optimism as we embark on this transformative path together.

Let today serve as the cornerstone of our progress. And let us continue this work to build a future that is strong and vibrant, and full of promise.

Congratulations again. God bless you all.
